San Michel is chemically and microbiologically pure and is suitable for people of all ages to consume safely. The quality of the water meets the requirements of EC Directive 98/83/EC issued on 3/11/98 'Quality of Water Intended for Human Consumption Excluding Natural Mineral Waters'. The manufacturing process for this product meets the requirements of both the ISO9001:2000 Quality Management System and the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards.
HOW WE PURIFY
OUR WATER
Town water is chlorinated and filtered through micro filters and activated carbon filters in order to remove impurities and off flavours. Following filtration, the water undergoes two consecutive treatments on separate reverse osmosis plants to produce very pure water. Bicarbonates are dosed in controlled amounts into the water stream to provide the correct balance of minerals. Prior to packaging, the water is ozonised to ensure that the product remains free from microbiological contamination.
